A Competency Survey of 250 Project Managers

While preparing to write this book, the authors launched an informal survey on what their peers in the field of project management (PM) think about PM knowledge and competency. There were only a few questions, with room for personal comments, if desired. At the moment of publication, there were 253 responses. The outcome data of the survey are interesting in and of itself, but it’s our intention to advance the DIKW model (see Chapter 1) and transform that data into information and knowledge, and perhaps even wisdom.

We provide both the data and our observations here in this Appendix.
