While there might be certain issues of condentiality that
prevent engaging people in the change process from the begin-
ning, the earlier they are involved, the better. When people are
part of the change process, they take a degree of ownership of it
and are more likely to accept the nal solution. When change is
simply imposed on people, they are more likely to resist it.
The other point you should note here is that leaders do not
have a monopoly on the best ideas. Great ideas can come from
anyone within the team or organisation. Your role as the leader is
