Shift happens. Things go wrong.

There is a saying: ‘What is, is’ which some people interpret as fatalistic, inferring that we cannot change things. A project leader cannot afford such a luxury. You must accept what has happened with equanimity, and then deal with it.

When things go wrong, focus forward on understanding the situation, identifying what you can do about it, and acting to bring it under control.
