Chapter 3 Why social media is the marketing of the future

When a contact of mine (Dave Smith) writes a comment about me on either his profile or my profile it is shown to everyone in my network and everyone in his network too (see Figure 3.1). The reason that this is such an important point is that if Dave is in your network, there’s a strong possibility you know who he is. If he then starts making positive comments about a supplier, in this case me, there’s a much higher chance of you reading those comments and responding to them because you already have a degree of trust in Dave.
