What is it?

Twitter is what’s called a microblogging service. In 140 characters you can say and share whatever you want with a global audience. On Twitter you don’t need to approve followers (although you can block troublesome ones). They just … follow you.

Twitter now has more than 500 million users who currently send over 200 million tweets every day! With Twitter you can find, follow and learn about people from all over the world and they can learn about you.
