Cyrus Cooper has had a different career route from many in the world of facilitating. His dream as a young boy was to be in a rock band. Music was his passion and he was in many bands in his late teens to early twenties – a world away from the learning and development field you may think? Not so. Being in a band requires you to be onstage and in front of an audience. You have nerves before you go on. You want to make that incredible first impact on the audience. You constantly test out how well you are being received. You are conscious of the potential performance dip half-way through. You go for the high impact ending. Is the audience satisfied?
