Spark Positive Thinking
Two ten-year-olds hit the streets, cigarettes in hand. They’ve got people to talk to, and these conversations can’t wait. The boy, with his little sidekick in pigtails next to him, walks up to a young woman smoking a cigarette and asks, “Ma’am, can I get a light?”
The woman pauses and looks at the boy a bit confused. “You shouldn’t be smoking; it’s bad for you.”
The duo continues to ask for a light from one smoker after another and gets similar responses from people no more than a decade older than them. None of the smokers would give the children a light.
