Most people are not happy when they are procrastinating. This then begs the question – why would otherwise intelligent, motivated people ever procrastinate? Well, there is seldom a single event that makes people procrastinate. Usually our time management hygiene is attacked from multiple flanks. The enemy is everywhere.
It may be that we feel our chances of success are low if we attempt the job in any case, taking away our motivation. (Pessimist syndrome)
It may be that we are not happy with the company we are working for, or the colleagues we have to work with. (Rotten company syndrome)
It may be that we have missed out on some sleep for a few nights and are then confronted with a difficult task. (Sleep deprivation syndrome) ...
