Unfortunately, a Nav Mesh can be a very tricky thing to get working properly for a variety of reasons so, while it is important to know how to make them and make them well, we're going to continue in our example using a different and more user-friendly pathing system: Path Nodes. Path Nodes can potentially take some time to lay out properly, but without using any UnrealScript, they are much simpler to work with. The idea is that we're going to use a blanket of Path Nodes to simulate a lot of the same functionality of a Nav Mesh, just with fewer headaches.
