Summary

It is the job of your Data Center's cooling infrastructure to keep the room at a cool, consistent temperature and disperse hot spots created by server exhaust. Electronic devices work more efficiently at low temperatures and suffer greater wear and tear due to significant fluctuations. Hot spots created by server clusters are problematic because they can heat up surrounding devices.

A chilled liquid system is most commonly used to provide Data Center cooling. Air handlers circulate air in the server environment—drawing in warm air, passing it over coils of chilled liquid, and then discharging it.
