With the wish list of requirements and a detailed understanding of the block-level architecture of our IoT platform, it is time to kick off the work.

In this chapter, we will
  • Initialize our cloud instance

  • Install basic and advanced software stacks, as required

  • Add security profiles to the fundamental stack

  • Create and configure a time-series database

  • Give our platform a domain name

This is the longest chapter in the book and a very important one too. To make the most of it, I recommend that you read through the whole chapter first, and then jump into the hands-on implementation in the second round. ...
