DC/OS is a product from a company called Mesosphere. The product is being promoted as an operating system, cluster manager, and container platform, so basically as an all-in-one solution. From the container perspective, it supports two container solutions—Docker and Mesos—and provides handlers for services and jobs. One of its goals is support for handling advanced scenarios (such as setup, teardown, backup, restore, migration, synchronization, and rebalancing). It gives you as a developer the flexibility you need for your application, and as long as you follow the design architecture, you do not have to deal with the cloud readiness of your app: it is just there out of the box:
