A Proof-of-Principle of a Method to Design for Evolvability
6.1 Introduction
The proof-of-principle of a method to design for evolvability aims to enable an investigation of the value of a capital design for evolvability framework. The design for evolvability framework aims to support early design decision-making at the front-end strategizing of capital projects. It formalizes the use of options logic at the early design stages of a capital project by offering a structured decision-making process to support multi-stakeholder teams. Hence, the proof-of-principle presented in this chapter works as a research instrument through which the usability of the proposed design for evolvability conceptual framework will be tested.
