Introduction

Over the years, many excellent books have been written on IP technology, and these books tend to focus on a specific topic, such as Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) or Border Gateway Protocol (BGP). However, building a resilient IP network requires a holistic approach to design and implementation. Various building blocks need to work together, most of which have seen enhancements and new features introduced.
