The idea for this book was inspired by reading Cradle to Cradle (by William McDonough and Michael Braungart) and the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s Towards a Circular Economy report. The Cradle to Cradle book convinced me that design could be used to make buildings ‘100% good’ rather than just ‘less bad’ and the Ellen MacArthur report made me realise that there is an immediate and compelling argument for implementing a more circular economy.
