The ability to read and capture unstructured data and to organize it into a meaningful, useful database is of unquestionable value. However, that value becomes really apparent in the face of actual analysis and queries. Stated differently, the value of creating an unstructured data warehouse becomes really apparent when there is a need to query unstructured data.

The general architecture of how analytical processing is done is illustrated by Figure 7.1.
