An interesting relationship that frequently occurs with taxonomies is the relationship wherein one of the items in one taxonomy has a direct or strong relationship with an item in another taxonomy. Figure 8.9 shows such a relationship.

When there are many cross-relationships between taxonomies, the analyst/designer needs to consider whether or not another categorization would better fit the needs of classifying and categorizing the raw text that is to be processed.
