The medical information systems at Ablatz go back a long way. The very first records from Ablatz were recorded and organized on 3x5 cards and were stored in a set of wooden trays. Ablatz still keeps these records, more for showing to the public, than for actual usage. Ablatz has long gone away from 3x5 cards and wooden boxes because of the sheer number of records and the need to access and analyze those records regularly.
