Another challenge of massive amounts of unstructured data is that of storing data that is not relevant to the business. Since there are no rules for the creation of unstructured data, it stands to reason that some unstructured data is simply not relevant to the business. When a man writes an email to his spouse, “Honey, let’s go out for dinner tonight, I had a hard day at the office”, this email would not normally be considered relevant to any business. Emails such as these get in the way of the important emails whose content contains information about the business of the organization.
