The next step is to look at the results, comparing the textual input with the output. The output from the textual ETL processing is in the form of a relational data base. Simple query tools can be used to examine the processing results. It is normal for there to be omissions and misunderstandings between how the parameters are set and how the results will look. Adjustments are made and the results are recreated. (Note: because it is normal for there to be adjustments, it is apparent that operating on large amounts of data in the first several passes is a mistake.)
