Customizing basic features

In this section, we will learn how to add and configure some basic features to our new map that will help our map get richer.

Default extent

The extent is a boundary of a map that limits what the users see. By default, when you publish a service, the current extent in your data gets saved in the service. That is why when you added the map to our application, we got a partial view and we had to zoom out to see all other restaurants.
