The license type used by the DotNetNuke project is a modified version of the Berkeley Software Distribution (BSD) license. As opposed to the more restrictive GNU General Public License (GPL) used by many other open source projects, the BSD license is very permissive and imposes very few conditions on what a user can do with the software. These conditions include charging clients for binary distributions, with no obligation to include source code. If you have further questions on the specifics of the license agreement, then you can find information in the
documents folder of the DotNetNuke application or on the DotNetNuke website.
