Localization

In the final exercise for this chapter, we will create resource files that can be used to replace the text in your module to allow it to display in multiple languages. This is called localization.

First, we will localize the link on the EditShopList control.

Localizing static content

Right-click on the Coffee Shop Listing folder and select Add ASP.NET Folder and then App_LocalResources.

When the App_LocalResources folder appears, right-click on it and select Add New Item.

When the Add New Item box comes up, select Resource File as the template, enter EditShopList.ascx.resx in the Name box, select the appropriate language, and click the Add button.

The resource file will be created, as shown in the preceding screenshot.
