The ShopList web user control will display existing coffee shops as well as display an edit link for the portal administrators to edit existing coffee shops. We will replace and add methods to the code created in Chapter 7,Custom Module Development.

We will cover code that will connect to the databases as well as the following DotNetNuke core API methods:

  • Personalization (SetProfile/GetProfile): Used to store and retrieve data for a user
  • GetModuleSettings: Used to retrieve module values
