Using Google APIs

Virtually all of Google’s products are built according to an API-first philosophy. This approach encompasses both Cloud Platform products like Google Compute Engine and consumer-facing products like Google Maps. On Google Cloud Platform, although Google makes it easy to consume products using either the web-based Developers Console or the console-based gcloud tool, the real power of the platform is best appreciated by using the core building blocks: the product APIs.
