THE 101 ON FINANCIAL BI DELIVERABLES
Financial reporting is pretty straightforward from an analyst’s point of view: there are no ambiguities because of legal prescriptions. These prescriptions may differ a bit between the two schools of thought (U.S. GAAP and IFRS) but both organizations, FASB (Financial Accounting Standards Board) and IASB (International Accounting Standards Board), are working on the convergence of their reporting prescriptions. Both organizations recognize the value of high-quality global reporting standards. I refer to both for more information and the latest updates: www.fasb.org and www.iasb.org.
