Managing the Project Life Cycle

The Business Intelligence (BI) project life cycle, illustrated in Figure 13.1, needs interventions from the business analyst in varying intensity, depending on the phase and exogenous factors we discuss in this chapter.

Project planning: The book does not provide answers to the question, “How do I plan a BI project, step by step,” but it offers valuable input for planners.

Business requirements definition: The book provides tools, concepts, and straightforward questions to enhance the quality of the requirements. This is the central point of gravity of the book.
