I was fortunate to meet George Baffour in November 2017 in Kumasi, Ghana, where I delivered the 10th R. P. Baffour Memorial Lectures, at which event George was present, representing the family of Dr. R. P. Baffour, his grandfather. The late Dr. Robert Patrick Baffour was a pioneering Ghanaian engineer who was noted for having been the first Chairman of the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission and first Vice-Chancellor of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), my alma mater.
