PREFACE

The evolution of business architecture as a discipline has been in progress for several years, and during this time many publications have offered business architects relevant and helpful guidance. In writing this book, we wanted to address a gap that we felt existed in the business architecture literature currently available. We believed that a book was needed that offered a pragmatic approach to developing a business architecture and explored how it was applied for business benefit.
