The Situation
Youth Dreams Charities (YDC) is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) organization that assists low-income families in gaining access to educational opportunities. Governance and policy making reside with a board of directors—10 part-time, community-minded volunteers who are entrusted with carrying out YDC’s mission—but daily operating decisions are entrusted to a full-time professional manager (the Executive Officer.)
