If you use the Internet (and if you know anyone who doesn't, it would be quite astonishing), you will be aware of the fact that almost every business in the world has an online presence. If you have a business, no matter what the size of your business, and regardless of whether you are selling an offline product or service or an online product or service, a significant part of your marketing, advertising, promotion and sales will now be done over the Internet. Only really big businesses these days think in terms of print advertising, and TV and radio broadcast advertising. Most average‐sized businesses these days know that their money is best spent online.
I believe any product or service can be sold online, and in this day and age should be sold online. The more exposure you get, the more products you will sell; and these days there is nowhere you can get more exposure than in cyberspace.
The digital age has come upon us fast. There are people who are CEOs of successful companies who were born in the early 1990s and thus do not even remember a time without the Internet, or mobile phones or even Amazon! Almost every aspect of our daily lives now has a digital element. You can pay for parking using your phone. You can order take away food online. You can buy your groceries online and book the delivery of them online. You book travel online. You store your photos online.
