The work in the Implement phase finally delivers the benefits to the business. This phase is difficult even if it is eagerly anticipated, because the transition takes time and it is easy to get frustrated while moving out of your comfort zone. The Implement phase typically places an even greater demand on everyone’s time than in earlier phases. At this point, backsliding in terms of human transition can occur. The steps in the Implement phase require a lot of attention to the stakeholders, both internal and external because they will be experiencing the reality of the new process.
