The fundamental barrier to creating a true OHLC chart is that Excel does not offer a left-
facing dash as a built-in marker for a chart. You can, however, import your own image as a
marker.
For example, I used Photoshop to create a new graphic that is 11 pixels wide and 3 pixels
tall. The leftmost five columns of pixels are black, and the remaining pixels are transparent.
I saved this file as a
.gifimage named LeftDash.gif. If you don’t want to go to the hassle
