Changing Colors in a Candlestick Chart
By default, Excel uses white columns to indicate periods in which the stock price increased
and black columns to indicate periods in which the stock price decreased. Although that is
incredibly convenient for this monochrome book, you are likely to present your charts in
color. It is easy to customize the colors in a chart.
To apply an effect to the columns, you use the Design ribbon and select, for example,
Layout, Style 28. This applies a beveled effect to the up/down bars.
