Instead of exploding a slice of a pie, you can highlight that slice using a contrasting color. A
single black pie slice in an otherwise white pie instantly draws the reader’s eye, as shown in
Figure 4.17.

To format the chart as shown in Figure 4.17, you follow these steps:
1.Click anywhere on the pie to select the entire pie.
2.On the Format ribbon, choose Shape Fill, White. The entire pie disappears.
