White Papers

In a business context, as opposed to a government or research context, a white paper is a peculiar kind of report produced for marketing purposes. At first glance, it looks a lot like a standard technical report. A typical white paper:

Addresses a complex technical topic

Provides recommendations to solve a problem

References research (conducted by the company and/or published by others)

Runs to 5 to 20 pages

Includes charts, tables, and/or diagrams
