PLAN EXPORT/PRESENTATION DRAWING

Basic plan export

If you do wish to export the model into another program the universally suitable drawing format for programs is likely to be DWG. This is a suitable format for 3ds Max, Maya, SolidWorks, etc.

AutoCAD: the native format for AutoCAD is DWG so there is little more to do than save the file to a suitable place.

SketchUp: the free version of SketchUp only allows you to save the file in .skp (SketchUp format) but the Pro version will allow you to save (and import) the DWG format.

Vectorworks: allows you to export the 2D drawing as a DWG format. If you have set up a 3D model it also allows you to export in various 3D modelling formats, such as 3ds Max.
