Atomoxetine

Atomoxetine (trade name Strattera) is a non-stimulant drug that is used for treating ADHD. It helps reduce levels of hyperactivity, impulsivity, distractibility and mood swings.

Atomoxetine is manufactured and marketed under the trade name Strattera by Eli Lilly and as Attentin by Torrent Pharmaceuticals. It was originally developed as an antidepressant drug. In scientific trials, no antidepressant effects were found, but it was later found to be helpful in ADHD.
