Making high-quality movies isn’t new for dSLRs, but the 5D Mark III adds new refinements for photographers. The 5D Mark III now sports a headphone socket so that you can monitor audio during recording and playback. Other new features include a choice of file-compression options, continuous shooting with the camera automatically creating new files when the current file reaches the 4GB limit, a timecode feature, a drop-frame control, and touch pad functionality for the Quick Control dial () to make silent changes during recording.
