In addition to the playback features covered in Chapter 9, your camera offers tools for other after-the-shot tasks. You can assign ratings to photos, delete files, and protect files from accidental erasure. This chapter covers these features and also provides some tips for searching for specific files, preparing photos for online use, and downloading files to a computer.

Rating Photos and Movies

Tip Using your camera’s Rating feature, you can assign a rating to a picture or movie file: five stars for your best work, one star for those you truly dislike, and so on. What’s the point, you ask? Well, by using the Image Search function, discussed later in this chapter, you can display only files that have a certain rating, making it easier to then protect the highly rated ones from being erased. ...
