Chapter 12
Ten Features to Explore on a Rainy Day
IN THIS CHAPTER
Checking out Canon Digital Photo Professional 4
Adding special effects and using in-camera editing tools
Creating a print order
Consider this chapter the literary equivalent of the end of one of those late-night infomercials — the part where the host exclaims, “But wait — there’s more!” Features covered here aren’t major camera selling points for most people, but they’re included at no extra charge, so check ’em out when you have a few spare moments. For details, download the camera instruction manual from Canon’s support page for the EOS R50.
Trying Canon DPP 4
Canon Digital Photo Professional 4 is a free, full-featured image editing program. DPP 4 provides all the tools you need to import, view, and organize photos and movies. You also get Raw-processing features and editing tools that are much more advanced than the limited ones built into the camera. For on-the-go editing, take a look at the DPP Express app for smartphones and tablets, available by subscription for about $1 a month. Download the program and the app from the software section of the R50 support page.
