Juxtaposition

We all react to contrasting elements in images. They can be warm-toned colors like red and yellow against cool-toned colors like blue and cyan. Contrasts can be softness against hardness, life against death, large against small, or different shapes juxtaposed against each other. Contrasts add to the power of an image.
