This chapter describes an unexpected anthrax outbreak in a group of Swedish beef cattle kept indoors during the winter season of 2008. Anthrax is a serious zoonotic disease, caused by the pathogenic agent Bacillus anthracis. The way in which the outbreak was managed, the costs involved and the lessons learned are discussed.
