Role-Based Access Control
To manage a Nexus switch, users log in to the switch and perform tasks as per their role in the organization. For example, a network operations center (NOC) engineer might want to check the health of the network, but he is not permitted to make changes to the switch configuration. Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) provides a mechanism to define the amount of access that each user has when the user logs in to the switch.
