Redundancy and High Availability
The Dynamic FCoE environment gains increased redundancy, which is inherent in the Cisco FabricPath network, by using a horizontally scaling topology of full mesh connectivity between the leaf nodes and numerous spine nodes. This contributes to overall network stability in general and the stability of the FCoE storage network in particular. Side A/Side B segregation is realized in a logical manner rather than a physical manner. A logical relationship between leaf nodes representing the same FCoE traffic side manifests itself as a virtual link topology for that side across the underlying Cisco FabricPath network.
