UCS Firmware, Backup, and License Management
With Cisco UCS, the relevant firmware is carved out into bundles. These bundles (.bin files) contain the relevant firmware bundle that would effectively touch and upgrade the intended target endpoints. The main reason for these bundles is to ease distribution and management. Figure 16-11 shows the endpoints on the left and the different firmware bundles that apply to them on the right.
