ISE Scale and High Availability

While ISE can run with all services on a single physical or virtual appliance, scale is still an issue. A single appliance cannot scale to large enterprise levels, nor would such a model be highly resilient to failure.

ISE cubes can be designed with each persona running on separate physical or virtual appliances in a single location or in multiple locations. In addition, features within ISE and the network access devices provide redundancy for authentication.
