The next major tab we’ll discuss in the ISE GUI is the Policy tab. This component of ISE contains configuration for authentication, authorization, profiling, posturing, client provisioning, security group access, and policy elements.

Authentication

The authentication subcomponent of Policy provides the interface to configure authentication policies on ISE. Authentication, as you learned in Chapter 2, “Fundamentals of AAA,” is the process by which the identity of the user or device is determined.
