This section reviews bandwidth conservation techniques for remote locations across the WAN.
Codec Configuration
Use high-bandwidth codecs in LAN environments and use low-bandwidth codecs in WANs. Use an alternative method than a low-bandwidth codec for MoH. These methods include using multicast from the branch office router or disabling MoH across the WAN. The codec used depends on the region configuration in CUCM.
