Chapter 5. Call Control Discovery

This chapter describes Service Advertisement Framework (SAF) and Call Control Discovery (CCD), which enable call agents to propagate and learn routes from the SAF-enabled network and thereby simplifying the dial plan for large enterprise deployments. SAF enables services to be propagated through a SAF-enabled network, whereas CCD is the first supported application for SAF, providing reachability for internal directory numbers and PSTN backup numbers. CCD then uses SAF to dynamically exchange call routing information.
